In early March, our project given by our teachers was called Altered Books. It was more of an artistic project which is a region of learning that I struggle in. Our goal was to get and old book that nobody would read and was going to be recycled and turn it into artwork for our chosen topic. I originally planned on cutting out a "lava pool" like the Star Wars movie, but unfortunately, as I was wrapping up that project, when I painted the inside of the book, it turned out looking poorly colored. I decided that a drawing of a lightsaber with some words on the otherside would most likely get a better grade than my poorly colored one, but I chose poorly. I now think, had I explained the situation it would've been fine, but instead, I tried to make a better version of what was already good, and made it worse. In the end, I learned that sometimes my best work might not be the same as others medium work, but it's still my best.Â
